ANDY'S PLACE
You Got a Dog!
Well, so you finally got a dog. Congratulations!!!!!!!!!! Now what are you going to do?
Give it a nice name, go to the pet store and buy plenty of toys, and treats.
What breed did you get?
Well, I got a “so-and-so”
Okay, and how about training?
Awwwe, she/he is so little and so cute and is such a good puppy. Maybe later.
Fast forward a few days.
Now the cute little puppy is peeing and pooping all over the rug, he/she is biting with those cute little sharp teeth and growls if you try to take something from him/her.
But you think that all this is because it is just a puppy, he/she will outgrow this stage.
I got news for you……
Fast forward some more.
The cute little puppy has grown to become a 40, 50 or more pounds dog and jumps up on everybody, has chewed the couch and the coffee table, does not comes when called and is out of control. Help is needed!.
Good news. Help is available, it is possible to get the ex-cute puppy back in control, but this requires training. Get a trainer as soon as possible but be aware that no trainer can undo in a few days what took you months to achieve. It will take a while and a lot of work on your part. It would have been much easier if the training had started during the puppy stage.
Get a trainer early, don’t wait
Don’t wait for the headaches to start, on the long run you and the puppy will be happier.
It is money well invested
